Ministry improves airlines’ traffic decline in 2020 to 45%

MOSCOW, Nov 10 (PRIME) -- The Transport Ministry has improved its forecast for Russian airlines’ passenger traffic decline in 2020 to 45% from 53%, Ilya Belavintsev, deputy head of the ministry’s department of state policy in civil aviation, said at the Federation Council on Tuesday.

“We forecast an overall decline of around 45%,” he said.

The ministry earlier projected that domestic airlines’ passenger traffic will decrease by 53.2% to 60 million people in 2020.
